Authorities in Mondulkiri and Siem Reap provinces have arrested 162 foreigners in an operation to crack down on crimes using technology (Online Scams)

 



On July 21, 2025, authorities in Mondulkiri and Siem Reap provinces arrested 162 foreigners involved in online scams.

In Siem Reap, 13 Nepalese nationals, including 4 women, were arrested at a rented villa in Khnar Village, Chreav Sangkat, Siem Reap City, and 16 desktop computers, 2 laptops, mobile phones, and other evidence were seized.

In particular, in Mondulkiri province, when the online location (Area C) was raided in Pouchab village, Dak Dam commune, Ou Raing district, Mondulkiri province, authorities arrested a total of 149 people (31 women), representing 13 nationalities, and seized evidence, including computers, phones, and related equipment. In total, in an operation to suppress crimes using technology on July 21, 2025, authorities in Mondulkiri and Siem Reap provinces arrested 162 foreigners, including 35 women.

Currently, all suspects and evidence have been forwarded for legal procedures. Please note that the authorities will take the strictest legal action against any perpetrators involved in this technology fraud.
